*Garlic pepper pork (mu-tot-gra-tiam-prik-thai)

Serves 3-4

A common breakfast dish for Thai students.  Of course, you can eat it at any meal.  This simple dish is very garlicky so be sure to brush, floss, and rinse your mouth well. Otherwise you’ll end up with garlic breath for a day!!

1 pound            pork, thinly sliced

½ head             garlic, minced

1 tsp                 white pepper

2 Tbsp             light soy sauce

2 Tbsp             fish sauce

1 tsp                 black soy sauce

1 Tbsp             sugar

¼ cup               canola oil

Cucumber slices

Sriracha sauce

Mix all ingredients (except canola oil) well.  Marinate for 15 minutes (may marinate longer if desired).

Heat oil in a wok over medium high heat.

Add pork and cook until done, stirring frequently.

Serve with cucumber slices and Sriracha sauce if desired.

Note:  can also be made with beef, chicken, shrimp or calamari.
