Naam was born and raised in the Thai town of Prachuabkirihan, on the Gulf of Thailand. Growing up, Naam learned to cook traditional Thai dishes from her mother, who took her to the local markets and showed her how to purchase and prepare the freshest local ingredients.

Naam eventually married and moved to the US where she continued in her culinary training and professional work. Naam travels frequently back to her native Thailand to visit and explore both traditional foods and new ingredients, along with techniques, that link the modern and ancestral Thai culinary world.

With a love of entertaining, Naam enjoys introducing newcomers to the wonders of Thai cooking and food presentation. This love was the impetus for her to create her first cookbook, lemongrass & limes, a delightful journey through the world of Thai food, as well as Naam’s world, full of personal stories and valuable insights of this beautiful land, its culture, and its people.
